A tourism company known as Explore More Tours see this early and decide to organize a trip to visit different parts of the country, Rwanda.
It is a trip that carry out on Saturday, the 7th and Sunday, the 8th of March this year 2026.
The Director of Explore More Tours, Mr. HAKIZIMANA Jean Pierre, says that women are very important in our society. He choose to organize a trip to the Musanze region, Kinigi, to the research center of the American ELLEN THEGENERES, which is also home to the works of the late Dian Fossey, an American woman who cared about the health of gorillas who died in 1985.
Tourists from different parts of the country were explained the history of each of the centers and learned a lot from them.
The management of this center presented tourists with a film about the daily life of gorillas in their families in the Virunga Mountains.
The director of Explore More Tours decided to combine this day of this trip with International Women’s Day.

Tourists view in BURERA District on Explore More Tours’ Supporting women
This was an ongoing event in Burera District where these tourists took a long trip from Musanze District to BURERA District.
This trip coordinate with Women’s Day at the suggestion of the management of this Company, the women who participate in this trip says that they enjoy it.
Upon arriving in BURERA District, these tourists see the TWIN LAKES, which are Burera and RUHONDO lakes.
Due to the race against time, this group of women, men, boys and girls immediately head to RUHONDO Lake where they find a boat waiting for them.
All of them immediately enter the boat and take on a tour of RUHONDO Lake where the captain of the boat and a tour guide explain the history of this lake to these tourists.
The boat trip on the lake, which took more than 30 minutes but less than an hour.

How they feel on the boat at the RUHONDO Lake Side
When you arrive at RUHONDO Lake, you will find that the water of this lake is very different from that of Kivu Lake, where sometimes the water is almost yellow in color.
The place where the tourists board the boat on RUHONDO Lake is in the BURERA District while the place where they disembark on the shores of this lake is in the Musanze District.
Some of the women and girls who come on this trip have joy on their faces. It is an event that continue at a nearby hotel where we take a break and chatted.
Since the manager of Explore More Tours has timed this trip to coincide with International Women’s Day, he surprise these women and girls by doing something they don’t expect but also make them happy.

Celebrating International Women’s Day
It is an event that mark on the giving each woman and girl a flower wishing them a Happy Women’s Day and telling them that they are precious and that we love them.
Not only that, but there are also an opportunity to cut a cake with the words Happy Women’s Day on it, and all the participants in the trip share it and wish each other a happy women’s day.
One of the women, who is apparently older, take the microphone to speak on this Women’s Day on behalf of her colleagues.
Some of the things she mention are thanking the management of Explore More Tours for thinking of them and showing them love, emphasizing that it is a great honor to give each woman and girl a flower and prepare a cake for them, and they are happy with it.
This woman also say that currently, some of the obstacles that women face includes seeing the youth (their children) getting involved in the shameful activities of alcoholism and drugs.
There are also a dance event to music related to International Women’s Day, which bring joy to everyone who attend.
The hearts of some women on this women’s Day
Some of the tourists who speak to our reporter say that such tourism activities help the participant, especially in his or her mental health.
It is an activity that many women believe should be done by men where they go to visit with their wives and show them love so that happiness can return to the Rwandan family and thanks goes to Explore More Tours on Supporting women as a nation building.
When you talk to different people about the reason why they do not participate in tourism activities, they say that it is for the rich. The director of Explore More Tours Mr. HAKIZIMANA Jean Pierre also knows as Peter says that anyone can participate in tourism and that it is not wealth but the perception of some people that is still low, and he asks them to move and keep up with the times.
Explore More Tours often carries out such tourism activities in different parts of the country.
Some of the places they often visit are in different parts of northern Rwanda, especially in the Musanze and Burera regions.

In our daily activities, it is important to take care of women because they are the foundation of everything.
To date, Rwandan women develop both in terms of material, practical and other aspects.
When you look at the different sectors of the country, you find that women are in a good position. For example, in the political, business, tourism, media, technology and even education sectors.
